Your use of this site constitutes your agreement that any information collected is subject to those laws and regulations.

About Children

This site is not intended for children. We will not knowingly collect information from persons under the age of 18. We encourage parents to talk to their children about their use of the Internet and the information they disclose to Web sites.

Active Information Collection

This site may collect information from its visitors both by asking you specific questions and by permitting you to communicate directly with us via e-mail, feedback forms, and/or chat rooms.

Some areas of this site may require you to submit information in order for you to benefit from the specified features or to participate in a particular activity. You will be informed at each such information collection point what information is required and what information is optional.

Passive Information Collection

As you navigate through a Web site, certain information can be passively collected (that is, gathered without your actively providing the information) using various technologies and means, such as navigational data collection.

This site may use Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. An IP Address is a number assigned to your computer by your Internet service provider so you can access the Internet. We may use your IP address to diagnose problems with our server, report aggregate information, determine the fastest route for your computer to use in connecting to our site, and administer and improve the site.

A "cookie" is a bit of information that a Web site sends to your Web browser that helps the site remember information about you and your preferences. "Session" cookies are temporary bits of information that are erased once you exit your Web browser window or otherwise turn your computer off. Session cookies are used to improve navigation on Web sites and to collect aggregate statistical information. This site may use cookies and session cookies.

"Internet tags" (also known as Web Bugs, single-pixel GIFs, clear GIFs, invisible GIFs, and 1-by-1 GIFs) are smaller than cookies and tell the Web site server information such as the IP address and browser type related to the visitor's computer. We may use Internet tags at this site.

"Navigational data" ("log files," "server logs," and "clickstream" data) are used for system management, to improve the content of the site, for market research purposes, and to communicate information to visitors. This site may use navigational data.

Use and Disclosure of Information

We use the information that you provide to deliver responsive information and related services. We may also analyze certain types of information to determine trends and patterns. If you provide us with your e-mail address and agree to allow us to contact you, we may use your e-mail address for that purpose.

We also may use and disclose information gathered on this site to improve the content of our site, customize the site to your preferences, communicate information to you, for our marketing and research purposes, for the other purposes specified in this Online Privacy Policy and for any other purpose permitted by law. We may combine information you provided on the site with any other actively or passively collected information unless we specify otherwise at the point of collection.

Security

CFBT has adopted measures to protect against the loss, misuse or unauthorized alteration of your information. When you send confidential data, we use Secure Socket Layer encryption for the transmission of that information. Our computer systems use firewalls and other security controls to guard against unauthorized access to information. We also use passwords to protect your confidential information.

Password Storage and Administration

Because of the method used to store your password - a "hashed" format - the exact text of the password cannot be retrieved or viewed, even in the event of a forgotten password. At login, the password you send is hashed and compared to the one stored on our system.

If you lose or forget your password, you can request a new one by sending an email message or calling ClearPoint Federal Bank & Trust 1-800-763-0234. You will have to identify yourself using information you supplied when you registered with our site. Once verified, you will receive a new, temporary password that will give you access to the system.

Links to Other Web Sites

This site may contain links or references to other Web sites. Please be aware that we do not control other Web sites and that, in any case, this Online Privacy Policy does not apply to those Web sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of every Web site you visit.

Email Fraud

Email can be used for scams, such as a false offer from a company or a false request to verify your information.  Emails such as these most likely are from criminals who send thousands of emails at a time to random addresses.  Often, these criminals are trying to entice recipients to visit a phony Web site and provide information such as online passcodes, Social Security numbers or Taxpayer Identification Numbers and account numbers.

If you receive a suspicious email, you should not open any attached file, follow any link or address that may be provided or respond to the email.  If you receive a suspicious email that uses ClearPoint Federal Bank & Trust's name, please report it to us at: Customer.Service@ClearPointFederal.com.

If this Online Privacy Policy changes, the revised policy will be posted on this site with a new effective date. Please check back periodically, and especially before you provide any confidential information.
